“The message of the song is straight to the point and clear “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”. – Joshua 24:15b”

Nolly – SERVE THE LORD (ft. NIMIX)

Through this song, the artist shows his devotion to the God of the Bible and he honestly does not care what the world says, he doesn’t care whether they speak ill of him. He has chosen to serve Jesus.

Whenever we make decisions it should not be made to please people but to please the LORD God alone. So in the scripture, the artist chose as a reference for this song, Joshua who was leading the people into the promised land most certainly had troubles but regardless of the trials he chose to serve God.

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15

The important word in the verse is “But” because it shows there was some opposition when Joshua uttered these words.

So regardless of what opposes you, or how people threaten you, there is a greater reward in serving Jesus Christ than in receiving acknowledgement or praise from people on earth. God alone should matter to you.

Do not let anyone tell you any different. Thank you to Nolly for your devotion to Jesus and for this good song.
